![]() CLEANING YOUR LAMP SHADE
If you have ever tried cleaning your lamp shades before and have read all the lamp shades cleaning tips available, you probably already know it is not an easy task. Most of these tips will probably ruin your lamp shades completely. Soaking in sudsy water after removing trim will only leave water stains, and most trims are glued on securely to the lamp shades rendering it almost impossible to remove without damaging the lamp shade.
Using a fine brush or a lint remover on your fabric lamp shades will lessen some of the accumulated dirt. Or you could try a dry cleaning product such as Rubgum. Rubgum can also be used on Parchment lamp shades.
Rubgum is a reusable dry cleaning puff GUARANTEED harmless to colors, materials or hands, excellent for silk, rayon, cotton, paper parchment, chintz, fiberglass, etc. Also recommended for wallpaper, window shades, white shoes, drawings, pictures, books, hats, bags, and all types of fabrics, suede and papers.
